The Carr Cares Benefit Concert is Carr Properties’ annual fundraising event, dedicated to supporting the Washington Jesuit Academy (WJA) and the Washington School for Girls (WSG). These two transformative schools are advancing the educational opportunities for deserving students throughout Washington, DC through their all-scholarship school programs.
On November 21, 2024, Carr Properties hosted the 6th annual Carr Cares Benefit Concert which marked a record-breaking milestone, raising $416,480! Since its inception in 2018, the Carr Cares Benefit Concert has raised nearly $2 million to support the life-changing missions of these institutions.
As always, 100% of these proceeds go directly to WJA and WSG, helping the schools continue to provide mentorship, academic excellence, and hope to students in underserved communities.
Reflecting on this year’s event, attendees were inspired by the powerful stories of alumni Kennedy Walker (WSG, Class of 2018) and David Martinez-Ruiz (WJA, Class of 2012). Kennedy, now a financial analyst at Lockheed Martin, and David, a financial analyst at J.P. Morgan, shared how their experiences at WSG and WJA laid the foundation for their success and motivated them to give back to others. Their journeys underscore the transformative power of education and community support.
This year’s success was made possible by the generosity of our sponsors, donors, and associates. A special thank you to our Diamond Sponsor, Red Coats, Inc. and Admiral Security Services, whose commitment was instrumental in helping achieve this incredible milestone.
The Carr Cares Benefit Concert is more than a fundraiser—it is a celebration of the power of education to change lives and an opportunity to invest in the future of our community. As we reflect on this year’s achievements, we look forward to continuing this tradition of giving back and making a lasting impact for years to come.
