Carr Properties is reimaging the way people experience the workplace with immersive, integrated and interactive office and amenity spaces that promote greater well-being and productivity. Carr Properties is looking beyond conventional approaches to design and operations to deliver an experience centered around hospitality. The foundation of this change is the new Carr Experience – a carefully conceived concept that is centered around “Optimize Self.” The Experience allows customers to do more in less time; seamlessly “work, play, live;” connect with others; and interact with their building in a new way. This follows Carr Properties’ announcement of a company rebrand, earlier this year.
Oliver Carr, III, CEO of Carr Properties, comments: “We are re-focusing our business on creating a better quality of life for our customers. This includes offering hospitality-quality fitness facilities, roof decks and amenity spaces, and access to first-class food and beverage offerings, all delivered seamlessly through our technology platform. At the end of the day, our job is to create the environment that allows our customers to thrive, attract and retain the best and brightest talent.”
The Hub, Carr Properties’ headquarters located at 1615 L St. NW, in the central business district of Washington, D.C., is the pilot location for the new Carr Experience. This 420,000 RSF Class A office just launched this new concept, after undergoing extensive renovations. The building renovations added a first-class fitness center with hotel quality changing rooms and showers; a state-of-the-art conference center; a new reception area with an interactive lobby; fully-furnished terraces that provide space for casual meetings; a redesigned rooftop and rooftop bar; and a lobby bar that will be managed by renowned Michelin Star rated Chef Nicholas Stefanelli.
In addition to the in-building amenities, Carr has developed the “Carr Experience App” which is a mobile technology solution. The App provides our customers a variety of immediate food and beverage options such as in-suite dining, easy sign-up for fitness classes, access to on-site services such as dry-cleaning delivery, and push notifications for upcoming special events.
Following the initial rollout, a select group of guests and the surrounding neighborhood have been invited to preview this experience in person. Guests will have a chance to interact with the newly activated spaces, trial run the new app and learn more about the Carr Experience. Carr plans to activate the experience throughout its portfolio in the coming months.
